The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 is a smart dimming controller, offering smart remote control over dimmable lights and drivers. Able to communicate over both WiFi and Bluetooth, the Dimmer Gen3 doesn’t require a hub or any special wiring and supports a wide variety of dimmable bulbs, lamps and LEDs, with smart routines and schedules for flexible, intuitive remote lighting control.
The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 is a compact, intuitive and easily-installed smart dimmer, compact enough to fit in tightly-packed junction and electrical boxes and compatible with both WiFi and Bluetooth to eliminate the need for expensive hubs and special protocols.
Designed specifically for tight spaces and crowded junction boxes, the Dimmer Gen3 can be easily wired into pre-existing lighting systems and lamps in minutes and controlled from the free Shelly mobile app, or installed behind existing light switches and buttons for easy, convenient lighting control.
The Dimmer Gen3 represents the next-generation of compact Shelly Dimmers, including an upgraded chipset, upgraded memory and compatibility with the Matter standard over the previous Shelly Dimmer 2. This Gen3 also retains the Dimmer-2’s wide variety of smart scheduling and scenes options, unlocking the possibility of coordinated schedules and scenes involving multiple Shelly devices working in tandem around the home.
Shelly’s Dimmer Gen3 supports dimmable LED lamps up to 150W, and incandescent bulbs, halogen lamps, iron-core transformers and dimmable electronic transformers up to 200W.
This Dimmer also doesn’t require a neutral wire (although a bypass is required when the load is under 20W), and supports both overload and temperature protection for enhanced device safety. Please Note: In order to access this device’s full dimming functionality, a custom script needs to be added.
